How to stop paying us, and when money travels back.

Monthly, up front, no minimum term, plus a short list of situations where a refund is automatic. All of it sits below, the cases answered no included, with the reasoning.

In short

Subscriptions bill monthly, up front. Close one when you like and it runs out at the close of whichever month is already paid. Part of a month already run is not, as a rule, refunded.

That rule lifts wherever the fault is genuinely ours, and we put it right. Which situations those are is set out below.

A month once begun

Every charge buys the month ahead. Once a month has begun, platforms are licensed, agents are running and the desk is reading output, so that month is consumed whether or not anything eventful took place in it.

Hence no minimum term. A year never locks you in, and the trade is that a month begun is a month bought.

Where a refund is automatic

Four situations, acted on without you having to push.

  • Wrong quantity billed. It comes back in full, for every month it ran, not merely the month somebody noticed.
  • A duplicate subscription. Two subscriptions over one estate means the second gets refunded and shut.
  • A line we could not deliver. Provisioning that fails, on a line we cannot make work against your systems, means the charge returns.
  • A charge after closing. Any amount taken after the date a line closed goes back in full.

Closing a line, or the lot

Two routes, both effective: the billing page inside your portal, or a message to the desk asking us to strike a line out. A message suffices, and we confirm it in writing.

Whichever route, the effective date is the day you asked, not the day somebody here processed it.

Failed payments

Cards fail. Stripe then retries on a schedule, and the portal marks the subscription past due. Cover carries on across that window, since switching protection off over a lapsed card helps nobody.

Stay unpaid past the retry window and lines suspend, with warning ahead of it. Settle the balance and everything returns without fresh set up.

Disputes and chargebacks

Something looks wrong on a charge? Write to the desk before taking it to your bank. Nearly every dispute reaching us is a question of quantity or of date, and one message settles it.

Raise a chargeback and the subscription suspends automatically while the bank grinds through it, which generally makes the original problem worse.

Asking

Write to desk@cyberthreat.management from the account address, saying what should come back. A person reads it. The answer is yes, no, or a question, and where it is no you get a reason and not a policy reference.

Refunds approved return to whichever card paid, by way of Stripe, and normally land within a few working days depending on the bank.
